Melissa was born in Chicago, Illinois, raised in Arizona, and spent time in Texas before moving back to be close to family in Phoenix. She has been married since 2004, has two daughters and is a grandmother to twin girls who motivate her to fight for a better future. Melissa takes pride in volunteering within her community and providing support for local Democrats.
