I have served two terms as your State Representative for LD12 and am now running for State Senate. Currently in the House, I am on the Natural Resources, Energy, & Water, Health & Human Services, and Transportation & Infrastructure Committees. Education, Seniors, the Environment, and Water are my priorities and will continue to be my priorities in the Senate. I have advocated for, and will always advocate for, marginalized community members, especially the elderly, minorities, immigrants, and the LGBTQ community. I love this state and its diversity. It has a diverse climate, a diverse geography, and a diverse population. I pledge to represent the diverse population of our district and the state as your Arizona State Senator. I am a 30+year resident of Ahwatukee-Foothills (Phoenix) and a third generation Arizonan from Somerton (near Yuma). My grand-parents were migrant farm workers and my father was a small businessman in Yuma. I have a Bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University and a Master’s degree from NAU. I was a public servant for 30+ years serving Phoenix residents and want to continue to serve you.
