LD12 Democrats - Postcards to Wisconsin

Join us this Saturday, March 11th, to write postcards to Wisconsin voters to get out the vote for women's rights and voter's rights, among other critical issues. We'll be at 12235 S. Honah Lee Ct, Phoenix, AZ 85044. If folks want to pick up packets to do ahead of time or can’t make the event, we'll have packets of 20 cards, names etc., that people can pick up; just text Mark at 480-747-2709 to arrange.

Why are we doing this? The election with the highest stakes this spring could be this runoff for a Wisconsin Supreme Court seat that could decide the state's future on abortion and voting rights — and any challenges there to the 2024 presidential election. Milwaukee County Judge Janet Protasiewicz [a pro-choice progressive] and former Supreme Court Justice Dan Kelly [an anti-choice, election-denying conservative] emerged from the four-way primary and will compete in the state's general election on April 4.

If Protasiewicz helps Democrats seize control of the court for the first time in 15 years, the court could overturn Wisconsin's pre-Civil War abortion ban and revisit the 2022 congressional maps that heavily favored Republicans. If Kelly helps Republicans maintain control, he's likely to be more sympathetic to any 2024 cases that contest the presidential election results. He was a central figure in pushing Wisconsin's "fake elector" scheme after the 2020 election.

This is OUR fight, and EVERY Democrat's fight.
